We stayed at the Howfield Manor Hotel as it was the start of our honeymoon and it was nice and close Dover ferry for our onward journey. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. The staff were friendly and warm and nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the excellent French restaurant and the food and service was wonderful. It was the perfect start to our honeymoon and we will definitely be going back. Beautiful building in lovely setting, I highly recommend this hotel.

The reception staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be looking to return in the future. The breakfast was great and the staff could not have been more attentive. Our room was large and the two windows made it very bright, the beds were very comfy and the showers were great. I've never bothered to leave a review of a property before but our two night stay at the manor was worth making the effort. The room we had, room 11, was on the corner with dual aspect over the gardens. The room was well presented with a couch, two chairs and a four poster bed, plus all the usual bits such as tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is smart and clean without loosing the character of a manor house. We enjoyed our stay, and having booked on a half price offer through laterooms, the value was amazing. We used the hotel as a base for touring Canterbury, Whitelsea, Hearne Bay, and all the way round the coast to Dover. Well recommended without a doubt.
