Howfield Manor has missed you, our guests, over the last few months we have seen many changes to all our lives.

Our role as a hotel is to make other people feel happy and welcome and the recent forced separation has been hard, our business is built around social interaction and we want you to be able to visit us, enjoy what we can offer as the situation evolves.

We are in the business of hospitality, our aim is to provide the highest level of service to all our guests and visitors, old and new.

Howfield Manor is the ideal place to relax and enjoy a peaceful break, our dedicated team offer traditional hospitality to make your time with us an enjoyable, relaxing and memorable experience.

Prior to arrival

We will be in touch to help plan your stay and make sure we have all the details we need to make check-in as straight-forward and swift as possible when you arrive at the hotel. We will discuss dining options and other aspects of your stay to reduce the need for interactions whilst at the hotel. Your direct booking will be flexible up until 48 hours prior to arrival, when full pre-payment will be taken. This will make check-out as swift as possible and make the processes both painless and contactless.  We will have trained all our staff in safety procedures including the use of PPE. Although check in time will be later at 4pm, to allow for extra cleaning, you will be welcome to arrive earlier and enjoy the gardens and perhaps some lunch.

Full Cleaning procedure

Housekeepers will be appropriately protected with PPE to include gloves, masks and aprons and have cleaned and sanitised their hands prior to starting.

  • All used linen will be bagged within the room and removed to secure dirty linen area.

  • Rubbish bins will be emptied into double bagged refuse sacks.

  • The room will then be cleaned thoroughly as before but with specific attention paid to the following areas:

  • Light Switches, lamps, handles, window catches, hangers & hooks, push plates, socket switches, pull switches, taps, flush handles, remote controls, walls around bed, skirtings and frames, mirrors and windows, hair dryers.

  • Cleaning will be completed using paper towels, disposable clothes and Vira Bac to ensure sanitising to a level that is effective against respiratory viruses and bacteria.

  • On completion of cleaning the room will be left prepared for the next guest, the toilet will be sealed and fresh towels left bagged.

  • The door of the room will be cleaned and sealed to show it has been cleaned.

  • All double bagged rubbish and cleaning materials will be disposed of securely.
